A traditional Venetian house converted in a B&B, lovely and traditional room and an excellent location.
The price is somewhat high for the qualitty offered, but that is a general rule in Venice... and the room is a little small, wich for us wasn't a problem, but if someone really likes big rooms, this is not a good choice.
The staff were realy helpful and friendly and the hotel has a great location.
No Wi-fi, no internet service.
The room is excelent, the location is perfect.
Wonderful little hotel, with super super nice staff. It's really central, lovely and quite affordable. I highly recommend it. Really good indeed.
We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel in a triple room, very large room with air conditionare... The staff were awesome, very friendly, ready to help, and they even provided us tailored service (we had to leave the hotel very early before the start of the breakfast time, we talked to them and they privded us with the breakfast material the previous day, and also let us use the kitchen for making tea/coffee ourselves on our departure day) ...we felt at home during our stay ... The location is great, 5 minute walk to San Marco
No internet connection, breakfast was not very rich in variety
a personal service and very welcoming staff. The rooms were amazingly decorated and very Venetian, great quality for the price. The bathroom and shower were of great standard and a nice size. The room was fairly small although this is what we expected and was not a problem. Breakfast is served to your room at the time you ask, a lovely treat whilst on holiday. Would definitely return.
The only issue is the wooden floors meant that sound travelled an we were woken in the morning when breakfast was served to the neighbouring rooms. This was not to much hassle for us as the noise did not start until 8:30 and we were getting up around this time to go and explore Venice.
The Casa Fenice Hotel is a small but excellent Hotel (I think 5 rooms total). The price was excellent for a Venice hotel (similar in price to some hostels), and certainly excellent for the amenities. Perhaps most important is that the hotel was VERY CLEAN (we had heard horror stories of some Venice hotels and especially hostels - notorious for bedbugs), so we decided that cleanliness was the most important factor in our choice. The bed linens and towels were immaculate, and the bathroom was spotless. In addition, the room had very nice Decor - very Romantic (ours was the red room, cant remember the name). Other than that, the lady who owns/operates the Hotel was very friendly and helpful and the location was very good.
It was near Piazza San Marco, very nice room. Breakfast is served in the room, you state the time in advance.
There were mosquitoes. The staff provided us with antimosquitoes plugs.
This is a wonderful place with charming, individually decorated and impeccably clean rooms. The host, Elisabetta, will go out of her way to help you. You will receive a key, so the place feels more like your private home in Venice rather than a hotel (while you still have all the commodities of your room being made up every day etc.). It is difficult to overstate just how perfectly the place is located in the heart of old Venice (literally everything is within easy walking distance) while still being quiet and peaceful at night. You will be served Italian breakfast in your room, which is lovely. Highly recommended!
A very minor critical point is that it would be nice to have at least some bread and/or croissant with the breakfast that comes freshly from a bakery (not prepacked).
Casa Fenice is situated in an excellent area with easy access to all the sights of Venice. This hotel has everything specifically Venice: romance, art, history. The staff is very friendly, the room is pretty small, but clean and decorated in Venetian style. I return there with great pleasure and I recommend those who wish to spend wonderful moments in Venice. It's easy to find if you follow the map on the site.
Our time at Casa Fenice was wonderful. Check in was great. The stay was so very relaxing yet many things to do. We wished we could have stayed longer but our schedule would not permit. I think Venice will be on our itenerary soon. We are greatful for our time at Casa Fenice enhanced our trip.
All was super. Rooms was very clean and romantic-looking. Staff was very nice. Location good-5-10 min walking to San Marco (nice walk).
No breakfast, but room is cheap and you can eat somewhere else ( restaurat -2m from pension)
Very good reception by Elizabeth at the front desk and very helpful. She made our stay very memorable and would definitely like to come back.
Finding out the hotel was not very easy especially for the first timers in Venice.
Very clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Small hotel - a house with 6 rooms all decorated in ventian style. Very well located. There is no breakfast room but breakfast was brought to the room eah morning. The hotel provided excellent directions and were able too acommodate very late arrival with no problem. All hotels in Venice are expensive but I would say this was good value - I would definatley stay there again and would recommend to others for a short break to the city.
